Christmas fayre... 26.11.10

Right, we are busy preparing for the Christmas fayre tomorrow.  I hope as many of you as possible that aren’t actually helping will be able to attend – it’s 12 noon till 2.00pm.  Lots of activities and shopping opportunities.

Those of you following on Twitter will already know of the recent success of the swimming team at the ISA nationals last Saturday, which was a fantastic achievement by all who took part.  I was attending Old Shorehamers’ events that day: firstly the football match, a general meeting, and the reunion dinner in the evening, where the Old Shorehamers were treated to a report of current matters from me and Joe Boyle delivered an excellent Head of College address.

Twitter followers will also have noticed my slightly off piste comment about Fat Boy Slim. I was enjoying Zane Lowe’s radio show last night, which was all about one of his classic albums, and I had the great honour of having my tweet re-tweeted by Zane Lowe himself.  I’m not sure if my suggestion will be adopted but it was pointed out to me that another dance act maybe is actually in the GCSE curriculum, along with more established composers!

Anyway, there is much to do before the end of term, rehearsals for the junior production and preparations for the Christmas events in the last week of term continue at a pace.
