| Talent Show 30.03.11 |
|
The evening was compèred by Mr Menezes and the irrepressible Jack Thompson, who could technically consider himself the winner with his rousing rendition of “Hit Me With Your Rhythm Stick”. There was a fantastic array of talent on display, however, and the final ratings were very close on the “clap-o-meter”. Just pipping the House band, the Design Argument, was Olivia Watts who sang “Pack Up” by Eliza Doolittle. There were other fantastic vocal performances from Grace Will, Charlotte Bush, Lexi Pickett and Daniel Lyons. Scarlet Han performed a piano piece blindfolded, and there were other piano pieces from Bradley Monroe in Year 5 and Harry Bentham in Year 7. A particular highlight was the puppet show by Harry Bentham and Oscar Pike-Scott, and we were also treated to a rousing chorus of the South African national anthem by our choir. Thanks to all involved, and also to the parents’ association for organising refreshments. The final total is not yet in but we are confident of raising at least £300 for Macmillan Cancer Support. |
