Visitors to the College over the summer will have seen that there has been a hive of activity during this time, most significantly with refurbishment work taking place on the south side of the main house. Priority has been to get the office back in place and functioning for the beginning of term. However, work has extended far beyond those areas, starting in the cellar below the offices, and will ultimately extend all the way up to the attics. Much of it has been structural and refurbishment, including what used to be the old headmaster’s flat, but pleasingly, although work will continue well into the Michaelmas term, the office and public areas are now up and running. We look forward to welcoming the children back on Monday, particularly those who are new to the College, and I would like to wish all pupils and staff a successful term. |
