This match was originally booked during the snow, so it was good to finally see all the Under 14’s having a game. Lewes came across to us for the fixture and it was a pretty cold afternoon. The A team played the first game and although it seemed to take a little while to set the rhythm going, they soon got the hang of it and began to take control of the game. They were leading at half time 4-2, but in the second half they were on excellent form and comfortably won the match. The ‘B’ team meanwhile were waiting in the sports hall, so by the time they came out to play, it had got even colder!! They struggled in the first half and by half time they were trailing by two goals. After a quick chat with the team, they soon picked up and little by little the goals were being scored and up until the last minute we caught up with Lewes and became level 7-7. They held their nerve and scored the winning goal in the last minute of time. All very tense and exciting! Lewes gave us a great match and well done to all the girls.
