2nd February 2010 - U15 Netball v Lancing College
On another damp and cold afternoon, the Under 14’s and Under 15’s went to play at Lancing College.

The Under 15’s had a wobbly start, losing the centre pass and then found themselves suddenly 5-1 down in the first quarter.  Realizing that the game was actually more evenly matched than they thought, they stepped up a gear and in the next two quarters, managed to overtake Lancing.  Our shooters Ashleigh Kirby and Katherine Godfray, (who stepped in for Amy Lovelidge being absent) were on fine form and soon began to get the goals we needed.
Our defenders had a very busy afternoon and did their level best to stop what they could.  Zoe Martin was seen flying around the court as usual, supported by Amber Morgan and Chloe Cairncross- Wood.
The final quarter,  was the most tense one I have experienced for some time! It was more like a rugby match than a Netball match! Both teams were very hungry to win and it finally ended as a draw.  I was extremely relived when the final whistle went; it was too much to cope with!
All the girls were brilliant and should be proud of their performance. Well Done.

Final Score : Shoreham College 20 – Lancing College 20
Player Of The Match :  Katherine Godfray.
