On the first day of term in chilly, damp conditions the U12 and U13’s played at home to Lewes Old Grammer.

From the moment the first whistle blown, the UNDER 12 team played superbly together and were in full control of the match throughout. Whilst the opposition gave us a very good match, the Shoreham girls just couldn’t stop putting the goals away!

It was rather a one way result, and although they did work very hard for it. The Lewes girls were very gracious to keep on trying for that elusive goal. All the girls played beautifully together and so they all deserve to be players of the match! Well done to you all:

The UNDER 13’S also played Lewes this afternoon and this was a very exciting match.  It took a while for the team to find their momentum, and during the breaks they were constantly told to keep upgrading their performance!  We were losing throughout the match, but the final quarter (4 goals down) really saw a surge in their determination and on the final whistle they scored a goal to level the game. I wondered what it would have been with another minute to play! What a match and all of them should be proud of their achievement.  Congratulations to you all:
