The UNDER 11/12’s played St Christopher’s at home this afternoon. The girls have been training hard together and this match really paid off their efforts. At the half way stage the scores were level and we just had to push up another gear in order to maintain control of the match. Lily Simon (c) was racing around the court and Hannah Griffiths and Renee Breckell did a marvellous job keeping calm and getting those vital goals. Defence from Emily Prosser, Chloe Stearns and Ella Brock was superb and also the support from the wings by Olivia Kelsey and Ashleigh Phipps. It was the best match the girls have performed and they really gained confidence as the match progressed. A superb match by both teams, but what a treat to see the Shoreham girls win their first match this term! Congratulations to you all.

The UNDER 13’s also played St Christopher’s this afternoon. After their efforts of the previous week, they struggled to find the same determination. St Christopher’s are a strong team and the Shoreham girls were challenged in their performance. Whilst the game was pretty evenly matched at times the opposition had more control of the ball putting the pressure on the Shoreham girls. A close game nonetheless and each match is always a learning curve and gaining experience towards the next match. Well done to: R.MILWARD, M.FORMAN, L.WARNES, O.WATTS, E.KNIGHT,L.WELCH, H.CLENTON-SLIMMINGS,S.HAMER,L.ELLINGER.
