21st January 2011 - ISA London South U11 Netball tournament
Team Photo

Shoreham College once again hosted the London South Under 11 Netball Tournament. The weather was on our side this year and the tournament was held outside.

Eight schools entered the competition which included Shoreham College, The Towers, Oakhyrst Grange, Westward School, Collingwood School, Lingfield Notre Dame, Lewes Old Grammar and Gad’s Hill School. The matches were of a very high standard and extremely competitive at times!

The Shoreham team worked so hard, especially supported by the Year 5 girls They won against Lewes Old Grammar and Collingwood School, then drew against The Towers.  Losing by one goal to Gads Hill hurt a little, and lost three.

Lingfield Notre Dame came away the winners for the 3rd year in a row, with Westward School 2nd and Gads Hill 3rd. Shoreham College came fifth.

The Prizes were presented by the Headmaster, Mr Stearns at the end of the afternoon, followed by tea in the mezzanine.

I hope and think the afternoon was enjoyed by all, and I especially thank my colleague Miss Heard for her umpiring and support, Mr O’Neill-Roe for the photography, the Kitchen staff for providing another lovely tea and also to my Year 11 girls who gave me great support throughout the afternoon.

Congratulations to all the girls: HANNAH GRIFFITHS, ASHLEIGH PHIPPS, LILY SIMON, RACHEL MUNDAY, ELEANOR CORBETT, GEORGINA TUGWELL, CHLOE AINSWORTH AND MAIA MARSTON
