| 26th January 2011 - U12 Rugby v St Christopher's |
|
Shoreham Kicked-off, but were asleep for the first five minutes and conceded a try. This woke the boys up and they had a good ten minute spell in which Harry Nash passed to Marcus Law ( C ) who dummy passed and ran half the pitch to touch down. With scores level, both teams tried to make an impact on the game. But it was Shoreham who scored next with Marcus getting his second try of the match after some good work from the forwards. Half came when Harry Nash smartly kicked the ball into touch.
The second half started the same as the first with Shoreham under pressure, but stern defence and some superb tackling from Cameron Lake-Gouhari and Charlie Inkpen and Joseph Sharp kept St. Christopher’s at bay.
With five minutes to go Shoreham gained a penalty just inside St. Christopher’s half which was taken quickly and ran for space avoiding the chasing defence for his third try of the match. Shoreham kept up the pressure in the closing minutes of the match before scrum-half Thomas Knight kicked the ball out after full time had been reached.
Our congratulations go to the Year 7 for their first win of the season. Next up, a trip to Angmering Sports College!
Final Score: Shoreham College 15 – St. Christopher’s 5.
