Although every year seems to bring announcements of improved results, this year’s GCSE results at Shoreham College have out-paced the National trend.  90.6% of current Year 11 achieved 5A*-C grades, even though the College is non-selective.  Even including Maths and English, the figure is over 85%, both big increases on previous years.

Individual highlights include Taylor Carey, Owen Davies and Adam Pickett who all achieved A and A* grades across the board.  Headmaster, Jim Stearns, said:  “The staff and pupils at the College work hard to achieve the right atmosphere for children of all abilities to thrive and this is borne out by these fantastic figures.  I would like to thank everyone for their hard work and am confident that our young people are leaving well equipped to face the difficult economic climate”.
