Congratulations to the Under 15 Rugby team who secured a convincing win over Lingfield Notre Dame. With only fifteen players and no substitutes we departed for Lingfield with no idea what to expect. After a lengthy warm up the team was ready and received the kick to start the match.

Lingfield came out strong but Shoreham remained calm under pressure and secured the ball for Max Jefferies to pass out quickly pass out to Matt Jackson who made the hard yards before offloading to Stuart Allcock . The Forwards were quick to the breakdown and not before long Luke Quincey powered through to put the first points on the board; Matt Jackson added the two points. Once again, on receiving the kick, Shoreham felt more comfortable moving the ball wider giving Harry Corton and Taylor Richardson the chance to show their pace. The Forwards worked hard to get to the contact areas quickly in numbers and without their strength and determination the Backs wouldn't have been able to run with the ball. Greatest moment of the first half was Michael Rickard powering up and creating so much momentum that he single-handedly smashed through what seemed to be the entire Lingfield Forwards and scored.

The second half saw Shoreham raise their level of aggression and start to put in harder tackles; often two players making sure that the opposition were stopped in their tracks. It was quite some time before Lingfield's prop got up after Luke Quincey and Tom Welch put in a huge hit. Often first to support the ball-carrier were Sam Risbridger, Laurence Bown and Rhys Mendleson who all had a tremendous game. Harry Bishop linked well with Stuart Allcock in defence and held up well to the overhead kick.

Overall performance from the Forwards, led by Tom Welch , was very good with some work to do on rolling mauls and communication; none the less, the game could've gone the other way had it not been for their strong shoulders and aggression. The Backs created depth in attack and were conscience of coming onto the ball at pace off Max Jefferies , however some work is needed in defence to sure up the flat line.
