The Under 12’s went away to Lancing Prep yesterday. They have struggled to find their hunger and momentum in matches, but this match completely blew me away (and the parents too I think!).

From the start I could see they were far more determined in their overall attitude and this gave them a sense of control of the match. By the end of the first quarter, they had to take their jackets off, in order to keep working really hard and to keep warm too! We were only 1 goal ahead at this point.

The second quarter was awesome. Roseanne Milward and Millie Foreman scored 7 goals together and suddenly we were11-5 up. Olivia Watts was superb as Centre, supported by Lauren Warnes, Danielle Gettins and Ellie Knight. The defenders, Holly Clenton-Slimmings and Lily Welch also worked really well together.

It was quite the most exciting match for the girls (me too!!), but I was honestly so thrilled and proud of them that afternoon. It shows you can do it girls!!!!
