St Aubyn’s came across to Shoreham this afternoon where we had some very interesting games.

The Under 12’s settled into their match very quickly and held control of the match pretty well all the way through. I was concerned that because the match score was very strong from us that we should change the team around. St Aubyn’s were very gracious saying that they were happy to continue.

The Under 13’s, having had their jabs in the morning were struggling to get their arms to work! They worked hard but their performance I know could have stepped up a gear or two. St Aubyn’s were the stronger team on the day.

In the final quarter, I thought that as both matches were the reverse of each other I would swap the two teams over, so the Under 12 played the opposite team and vice versa.  An interesting exercise, it pushed the U13’s up a gear to win 3-2 and the Under 12 to win 5-3.
