25th November 2010 - U10 Football v Broadwater Manor

In the space of a week the U10 have endured hugely changeable conditions for their football matches. Thankfully the driving rain from last week had passed, however, this week they were met with Arctic cold conditions.

Broadwater came over with 2 teams. The first half they played their A team and the second would be their Bs. Shoreham got off to a good start dominating possession and sending a barrage of shots on goal. Eventually, the pressure told with Luca Bigg scoring a brilliant first, closely followed by a good second goal. The team were playing well and with rolling subs and people playing out of their usual positions, they continued to make good progress. Kai Green also scored a cracking goal making it 3-0 to Shoreham. A quick attack from Broadwater saw them break up field quickly and catch the Shoreham defence napping and score a quick goal. The half time score was 3-1.

At half time, there were a few more changes made for Shoreham with Harley Prince, moving to goal keeper in place of Matthew Jenner and both John Shouler and Kai Green taking a rest.

The second half started promptly with more possession and attempts on goal form Shoreham. The rolling subs kept coming and with both Kai Green and John Shouler back on the pitch, three more goals were quickly scored (2 for Kai and 1 for John).

This was a good fixture as it gave the boys the opportunity to try out new positions on the field.  I was most impressed as the boys played some brilliant football. This continued their unbeaten run for the season so far. Well done boys!

Shoreham Squad: Matthew Jenner, Benedetto DeVizio, Ethan Gilbert, Kai Green, Harley Prince, Luca Bigg, John Shouler, James Wootton and Bradley Monroe.
