Harvesting Help for the Homeless

Harvest celebrations in Shoreham College Juniors and Seniors this week with massive donations made to Emmaus and Off the Fence.

‘Big Red Combine Harvester' was sung with gusto by the Juniors who were led in prayers and thanksgiving for Harvest by the Reverend Gabriele Britton-Voss. The pupils donated hundreds of items to Emmaus collecting for the homeless. Y5s also took part in the annual veg-heads competition. Some spectacular creations made from all kinds of fruit and vegetables were displayed for the whole school to enjoy before going to Emmaus to be displayed there.

SC's senior pupils brought in hundreds of items for Hove's charity for the homeless, Off the Fence. The Reverend Martin Poole of St Luke's Prestonville, our guest speaker, spoke movingly about the power of kindness for others and of the vulnerability of the homeless.
A massive thank you to all our parents.
