ISA Indoor Athletics Success

Shoreham College took a team of young athletes from Year 6 to compete in the ISA Indoor Athletics competition and came home with Gold and Silver!

The event, held at Riverston School, London on Thursday 10th March, consisted of team events for the boys and the girls, an obstacle relay and a sprint relay as well 5 individual events.

Our athletes enjoyed terrific success with the boys winning the overall team competition and the girls finished 2nd overall in their competition.  There were wins in the individual events including, Ruby-Anna Smith for her Long Jump, Seyuri Bothra for her 2 lap race, Louis Patey for his vertical jump and Morgan Amoo and Marley Bigg both won both their individual events too!  Well done to the whole team, Luke McKeown, Pearl Clark, and Georgia Maquire all did well in their individual events and were key members of the awesome relay successes, an excellent day out of competition!

John Shelley, PE teacher at Shoreham College said: “An amazing effort and tremendous achievement from an outstanding bunch of young athletes, we are so proud of them all, to gain gold and silver is just fantastic.”
