Community School of the Year Nomination

Shoreham College is proud to report that it was nominated by the Argus for the 'Community School of the Year' award 2016.

We were pipped at the post by PACA and their excellent work for the Clock Tower Sanctuary.

Mr Taylor-West attended the ceremony at the Amex, on Sunday. He said it was an excellent event and he was proud that the college was nominated over hundreds of other schools for our can drive, which delivered more than 2,700 cans to Brighton and Hove food bank.

'Our pupils will be thrilled that their efforts were recognised by the Argus and its panel, and we also congratulate PACA,' he said after the ceremony.

He added that it was excellent to see the good that young people in Sussex can do, when inspired by their teachers. He thanked Mr Connors for leading the project and we look forward to creating more good news stories at Shoreham.
