Old Shorehamer calls for Action

Action is needed now, said Ella Brock, to a senior school assembly at Shoreham College on Thursday. We need to desperately 'reform our attitude to plastic' before we poison the seas. She delivered this message to a packed Lewis Hall.

Ella Brock, an old Shorehamer, is now in her second year of masters in Marine Biology at university, having left Shoreham College to do three A-levels in Biology, Chemistry and Geography. She told the pupils that some experts say the oceans will have more plastic by weight in it than fish by 2050.

Ella is aiming to work in conservation and feels passionately about the urgency of changing human relationships with the environment.
