6th February 2008 - Under 11 Rugby v St Christopher’s - HOME

Another beautiful day at the College for Rugby and the Under 11s were very enthusiastic to play after their fantastic result last week. The key priorities before the game were to; make every tackle, support the ball carrier and for the backs to re-align quickly. The match started very well but an early try by St Christopher’s put us on the back foot but didn’t dampen our spirit. There were great first half performance by Matt Solomon, Joshua Bird and Elliott Le-Warde who put in some very hard tackles and played with their hearts.

The second half saw Shoreham play 10 minutes of continuous Rugby within St. Christopher’s 22 yard area but failed to score. Once again it was the strength of James Monaghan and Tom Wedge who made some very positive runs. Finley Bigg was almost un-stoppable on the wing and had two opportunities to make a lot of ground. The score-line does not do this game any justice; It was a very positive performance and a much closer game than the score suggests. Points to consider for their next game; body positions in the rucks / mauls and higher levels of aggression.

Man of the Match: Elliott Le-Warde & Sebastian Warner.

Final Score: Shoreham College 0 - St Christophers 35
