26th February 2008 - Under 14 Rugby V Angmering - HOME

U14 Rugby

Angmering had convincingly beaten Chatsmore before going into battle against us. With some minor team changes we were ready.

U14 Rugby

The forwards worked hard to disrupt the Angmering scrum but were soundly beaten in the mauls. Our Backs continued to push up in defence and stop the opposition running through but a couple of early tries by Angmering knocked us back and we knew it was going to be a tough match.

U14 Rugby

The most outstanding performance of the afternoon came from Brendon Kirkpatrick who made two fantastic try-saving tackles. He played at Fullback and was the last man in defense.

U14 Rugby

Although his tackles made no difference to the overall score, his determination was something for the rest of the team to aspire to.
