On the 3rd of March Shoreham College hosted Brighton College for a badminton fixture. The Shoreham team got off to a great start with David Boxall winning convincingly against his opponent 9-1, 9-2. There were also a win from Stuart Allcock, who had a very tough first game that he managed to win 9-8. Christopher Hill was the youngest player for Shoreham, but he still managed to win comfortably 9-2, 9-4 despite being 2 years younger than his opponent. Harry Bishop fought a long and close game and was match point down at one stage, but still managed to take the win beating his opponent 6-9, 10-8, 9-7. Amy Lovelidge won her game 9-3, 9-8.

After all the singles matches we teamed up to play doubles. David Boxall and Harry Bishop won their game 11-7, 11-2 with some great smashes by David and hard work from Harry. Stuart Allcock and I played a very close game and with some great running from corner to corner from Stuart, and some good reflex shots from me, we won 11-9, 7-11, 11-6.

In the end the Shoreham team won by 7 matches to 2. A very good result for the Shoreham team and we are looking forward to more matches next year!
