Today, the Year 3s had their first football fixture for many years. The boys had been looking forward to the big game all week, and their excitement was evident by all the singing on the bus journey to Windlesham.

The Lions, a team made up of Kai, John, Harrison and Matthew in goal, got off to flying start with a half time hat-trick from John and 2 goals from Harrison. They went on to win their first game with a convincing 11-0 score-line.

Meanwhile, the Panthers, Luca, Ben, Ethan and James, battled hard against Windlesham’s A team but failed to score a goal in a closely fought contest that ended 0-0.

When the teams swopped pitches there were goals from both sides, Luca managed no less than 5 goals in the panthers 7-0 win, whilst Kai, Harrison and John all managed to get on the score sheet after conceding an early goal in their 2^nd game of the afternoon.

Well done to all the Year 3 boys who took part this afternoon; they all gave 100% effort and made a super start to their school footballing careers.
