On 23rd April Shoreham U13’s played a rounders match against Towers. The match started off with Shoreham batting first, and scoring very well with some good hits from Amy Lovelidge, Zoe Martin, Katherine Godfray, Amy Wooton, Chloe McDoogle (the third time she has ever played), Nancy Hall and myself.

We had scored around 9 rounders in the first innings, then we had to field, and there was some great fielding going on by Katherine Godfray who made two brilliant catches! Some good bowling by Amy Lovelidge, some good work on posts by Amy Wooton, Zoe Martin, Ellen Gunn and Nancy Hall, and good deep work by Amber Morgan, Katherine Godfray and Chloe McDoogle, and some good backstopping by me. Towers only managed to score about 2 and a half rounders in the first innings.

In the second innings we managed to score another 9 and a half more rounders which increased our score to 18 and a half, and Towers managed to score another 4 and a half rounders which increased their score to 7 and a half rounders. So the overall score was Shoreham 18 and a half to 7 and a half.

The reserves were Maisie Magnus, Sammy Loveday and Jess Garment, Maisie Magnus came on for Amy Wooton, Sammy Loveday came on for Nancy Hall and Jess Garment came on for Nancy Hall.

Overall I think Shoreham played very well considering it was our first match of the season as well.
