Last Friday Shoreham took a squad of 22 athletes to compete in the ISA Regional athletics competition, once again held at Norman Park, Bromley.
Having only been back at school for two weeks since the Easter break, there hadn’t been a whole lot of time to prepare for the competition. But, despite this, Shoreham still managed to win gold in 10 different events.
There were some fine performances from pupils new the school this year, namely, Elisha Sharma, Amy & Chloe Macdougall, and there were also some super performances from seasoned Shoreham athletes including Jack & Sophie Walls, Stuart Nayar and Luke Quincey, all of whom have taken part in this competition many times.
Well done to everyone who took part on the day, the weather held for the most part and super day’s competition was had by all.
By winning their event, the following pupils qualified to represent the London South Region at the national competition later this term. Good luck with your preparation for the Nationals!
