Charity Cycle for Chestnut Tree House - 2014

The Downs Link Challenge, organised by the Shoreham College Parents’ Association and supported by Thomas Eggar and Quest Adventure, took place on Saturday 10th May with over 230 people cycling or walking between 5 and 30 miles from Bramber to Christ's Hospital and back. Having raised £50,000 for the Chestnut Tree House over the last eight years, we are hoping that total will now be pushed to over £55,000.
Not all the money has been counted yet but it is hoped there will be enough to ‘Pay for a Day’ of care at the Chestnut Tree House.
The good spirits and humour of all those lovely people who entered, turned up and pushed themselves to raise funds for the hospice was inspiring. Children and adults got on their bikes or walked in the rain and wind to raise funds for this worthwhile cause. They are all amazing.
Community fundraiser for Chestnut Tree House, Caroline Roberts-Quigley thanks Shoreham College and its Parents’ Association. “We rely on the generosity of the local community and events like the Downs Link Challenge; thank you all for your continued efforts.”
“Thanks to all the sponsors and to everyone that came and had fun on the day. The Amazing food from Holroyd Howe caterers topped off a great day. A special thanks to our wonderful volunteers who marshalled; we couldn’t do it without you.”
