Charity Cycling Challenge - 2013

Around £4,000 has been raised for Chestnut Tree House children’s hospice from the latest Downs Link Challenge. The event, organised by the Shoreham College Parents’ Association and supported by Brighton Honda and Quest Adventure, took place on Saturday 11th May with over 200 people cycling or walking between 5 and 30 miles from Bramber to Christ's Hospital and back. Having raised £45,000 for Chestnut Tree House over the previous six years, we are hoping that total will now be pushed towards £50,000.
The good spirits and humour of all those lovely people - including Tim Loughton MP - who pushed themselves to raise funds for the hospice was inspiring. They are all amazing. “Thanks to all the sponsors and to everyone who came and had fun. The sun came out and the amazing food from Holroyd Howe caterers topped off a great day “Vicky Thomas, Chair SPCA
‘It was fantastic that the weather was kind to us, rewarding those cyclists and walkers and of course the wonderful volunteers who marshalled. Thank you to all who took part for making the event so successful and raising so much for such a worthwhile cause’
