There was a very impressive display of bowling from the Shoreham boys who conceded far fewer extras than they did in their previous two matches. Luke Griffiths only conceded three runs from three overs that included two maidens and two wickets. Oliver Collins bowled in impressive twelve dots in his two overs slowing the opposition’s run rate down considerably. Finley Bigg took a hat-trick of wickets in his two overs and only conceded one run from his twelve deliveries. Oliver Rogers and Charlie Boyle completed the bowling and Broadwater finished their innings with 62 runs for 9 wickets.

With 63 runs required to win the match, Isaac and Luke Giffiths quickly reached a partnership of 45 before Luke, who had batted extremely well, was bowled for 21. The remaining required runs were quickly polished off by the partnership of Isaac (17 not out) and Henry Thornton for a convincing 7 wicket victory.

Congratulations go to all the boys for a super team performance and player of the match goes to Alex Kirby who did a phenomenal job with the gloves on, keeping wicket for his first time. Well done Alex!
