We set off this afternoon with slight trepidation as Lancing College have always beaten us in Rounder's! It was even more daunting that the Under 14's had their bowler and 1 st post girls absent. However, always raising to the challenge, the girls seemed to be prepared for a hard fought match.

Nancy Hall stepped in as the bowler (and did a fabulous job too) for the Under 14's and Jada Salih bravely accepted 1 st post to receive Ashleigh Kirby's awesome backstop throws. The girls put in so much effort into their fielding, which truly paid off. Jada Salih was a complete star this afternoon and her batting was brilliant. We just managed to pull off a win in the first match against Lancing, which was a pretty good feeling, although we differed on the scoring by half a rounder!

The Under 15's also pulled off a jubilant win in their first match. Imogen Lawrence was a tremendous leader throughout the afternoon, supported by Emma Barnett as Backstop. Katie Trevis was an outstanding deep fielder and Lucy Bubloz batted brilliantly, sending the ball far and wide. A fabulous match,well done!

Sadly both teams lost their second games, by a minimal margin, I think they put so much effort into the first match consequently they struggled with the second! All I can say is that ALL of them were fantastic and should be very proud of their performance this afternoon.
