The Under 13’s had a hard fought match against St Aubyns this afternoon. We won the toss and started the match by going into field. St Aubyns had some strong hitters and quickly started to score. If we had been a little sharper with our fielding, we might have had some more success in getting them out. However, not to be deterred by this, we batted well, but we were still two rounders behind at the half way stage.
The second half we changed a few positions round, putting Charlotte Allcock into deep field and this made a difference. We also seemed to be a little more alert too which certainly helped the situation! Whilst some tremendous catches were caught by both teams, we couldn’t quite make up the difference and in the end it was quite an even match, although St Aubyns came away with the winning score this time.
