The Under 9’s and 10’s supported by the Under 8’s played Sion this afternoon. What a match this turned out to be! We had a good training session during the Activities lesson where we sorted out our positions ready for the match at 4pm.
It was a wonderful game and fabulous experience for all the girls involved. During the first half, Sion seemed to be the stronger team and had a reasonable lead, but during the second half, our girls really got into the swing of things and slowed the Sion score down, this enabled us to come back and almost level the game by the end of the match.
All the girls were superb, Hannah Griffiths as Bowler with Chloe Ainsworth as Backstop, Ashleigh Phippps as 2nd deep and Ryan Docwra got a number out by stumping her post at 3rd. Well Done to everyone and to lose only by one rounder might of hurt, but you should be delighted with your performance, you did the College proud!!
