In the last week before half-term, Y4 dressed as Greeks to celebrate the end of their Ancient Greece topic. Fun was had acting out play scripts, playing games, and eating Greek food!

We celebrated the Junior pupils who had made the most improvement with their reading this term. They were all presented with a Most Improved Reading Certificate from Mr. Esplen, head of Juniors.

πŸ₯ˆThe U11 football team came 2nd in the ISI tournament at LVS Ascot. They played brilliantly all day, and in the final played all the football but lost to a last-minute counter-attack. Great work from everyone, a very well-deserved silver medal.πŸ₯ˆ

Last week of term and Hecate and her terrible trio (7A1) strike again! Down in the forest where fair forest school takes place, a series of supernatural events turned everything foul! Hecate (aka Mrs Moore!) arrived first hovering through β€˜the fog and filthy air!’ Not far behind was her twisted, terrible and tatty trio of witches. They cast their spells, gave chilling warnings and danced around their cauldron full of bones and other remains of animals. After their chilling presence had mesmerised and frightened 7A1, they finally vanished into thin air leaving echoes of their cackles behind.

Congratulations to Nelson Juniors who got the most House Points this term. Here House Captain Rosa and Vice Captain Sophie (dressed as a Victorian for the day!) proudly hold the cup.

What a truly magical day Y6 has had at Warner Bros Studio Tours. We had a special experience to start the day, holding props from the Harry Potter films in our Instructional Writing lesson. The day was rounded off with lots of butterbeer! #warnerbrosstudiotourlondon
