Shoreham College is proud of our strong academic performance. We are delighted that 98% of our pupils were awarded grades 9–4 across all examinations this year, with an average of the school’s pupils achieving one grade above their nationally standardised predictions.
Shoreham College is a mainstream school catering for a range of abilities, and we are delighted that many of our pupils achieved excellent value-added, demonstrating what inspiring teaching and pupil commitment can achieve.
Our children and their teachers work consistently hard to achieve these fantastic results. This year, their success has been hard-won, in adverse circumstances, and we could not be prouder of them.
98% of our pupils gained at least five GCSEs at grades 9–4
Our pupils have a range of exciting post-GCSE destinations. Our Head Girl, Seyuri Bothra, delighted that her set of 9s, 8s, and 7s will help her reach her ultimate ambition of studying Law at NYU or Cambridge, is heading to Hurstpierpoint College to do her A Levels. Armed with 9s and a few 8s, our Head Boy, Finnley Alymer, is going on to study Mathematics, Science, and Computer Science. Joseph Manson is going to East Sussex College to study Photography, History, and Music Technology. Meanwhile, Ruby-Anna Smith is going to study Health and Social Care, Sociology, and Creative Media at Varndean College, with the aim of eventually working in a job ‘helping people’.
