Pupils Demonstrate Tremendous Talent |
|
Shoreham College’s annual talent show has been running for four years now, raising money for various charities and entertaining audiences with first-class performances.
This year the majority of the acts were by the ‘Amber Zone’, the school’s house band. There was also an incredible puppet show which had the audience in stitches!
As it is a competition, acts fight for a position on the podium, this is decided by the clapometer and adds an element of excitement to the night!

Bridcutt Blissful about Scotland call-up |

Brighton and Hove Albion’s Liam Bridcutt has had a call up to the Scotland squad for the first time in his career. The 23 year old midfielder was delighted to get the offer to be in Gordon Strachan’s first competitive team since being appointed Scotland manager.

A 27-year-old burglar has been jailed for two and a half years after he stole a can of Coke from a property in Hove.
Eclan Ray, of Unity Close, Willesden, London, was arrested nearby on Saturday 16 February when officers from Sussex Police found him with the can of coke in his pocket.

A Librarian was sacked after failing to prevent the Harlem Shake that took place in the library of St Hilda’s College in February. MP George Galloway says that the "the College authorities seem to have suffered a severe sense of humour loss...” after students were fined up to £60.

Barack Obama was on his visit to Israel today, to enter into talks with Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas. The talks will mainly consist of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict currently going on in the Middle East.

Some local residents in Brighton were shocked to hear that the oldest tree in the area will be felled to make space for the renovation of the roundabout.
One local resident, Tom Druitt, climbed the tree to stop it from being felled. So far he has been successful.
