Congratulations to the U15 Boys rugby team who had their first contact rugby fixture yesterday at home to Duke of Kent School. In some challenging conditions, the team showed true team spirit and sportsmanship. A fantastic time was had by all with Yasin being awarded a well-deserved Player of the Match award for his resilience.
Some deserving Key Stage 2 pupils recently received awards in our monthly Celebration of Achievement Assembly.
Receiving this month's Superhero awards, were Ted, Christopher and Amber from Year 6, Ekaterina from Year 4 and Able from Year 3. Georgia Year 5 (not pictured) also received a superhero award.
Celebrating achievements outside of school, Bowie for football and Amber for dance, both from Year 6, showed us their trophies.
Finally, a huge success for Joshua from Year 5 who managed to get his Silver PE colours; an outstanding achievement from such a young pupil. Well done to all.
Another fantastic week of sporting activity at Shoreham College. Our Y7 and Y8 pupils were in action at the Sussex Schools cross-country finals. Our U15 and U13 netball sides had strong performances. The U13 Boys rugby team had a close-fought game away to Patcham in some challenging weather conditions and our first-ever U13 Girls contact rugby festival. We then travelled up to Sheffield on Saturday for the ISA National cross-country finals where 9 Shoreham College athletes represented the London South region. Well done to all involved and here's to another sport-filled week ahead.
