Years 10 and 11 arrived safely in Iceland to some breathtaking scenery and even managed to get a glimpse of the most recent volcano eruption from the plane!
Last week students in the Senior School marked Holocaust Memorial Day in their History and PSHE lessons during which they remembered and paid their respects to people who have lost their lives in genocides around the world. This year's theme is the 'Fragility of Freedom' and students in Years 7-9 completed Preps outlining the freedoms they have in their lives which they feel most privileged to enjoy. Well done to the following students for producing some lovely pieces of work: Tilly, Olivia, Henry, Oscar and Ruby.
As part of our learning about oral hygiene and looking after our teeth, Reception and Little Lions had a visit from dentist Mr Kakos, and his assistant for the day, Georgia from Year 4. We now brush our teeth every afternoon to make sure we’re looking after them and have nice shiny smiles! @deansdental
Year 6 finish the half-term with a joint Forest School. They were challenged to work in groups to make a shelter to keep dry. The first group to complete their shelter, got to toast their crumpets on the open fire first. They all had a fantastic time. We love Forest School at Shoreham College.
