Many congratulations to Italia in Y7 who attended the Worthing Music and Arts Festival and placed 1st in 4 different singing categories. What an incredible and well-deserved achievement Italia.
Reception has been learning about Lunar New Year and as part of this, we went to the Chinese supermarket this week to look at the decorations and foods that we could find. We enjoyed looking for foods that we might see at home as well as some that the children may never have seen before. We bought a selection of treats to share with the Little Lions in the classroom later on as part of our Lunar New Year party, where we also used instruments to make parade music and performed a dragon dance too! Happy New Year!
On Tuesday, it was Safer Internet Day. This year's theme was on how technology influences us. The day started in our juniors with an assembly highlighting the changes in technology over the last 20 years from cassette tapes to the latest smartphones. Pictured here are some Year 6 who are discussing Persuasive Design elements found online, such as Auto Play, Push Notifications, and Clickbait. The discussion included how we could ensure that these devices have a positive effect on us avoiding the negative effects that technology can have on us.

Well done to the U13 rugby team who played in a triangular tournament yesterday at Lancing Prep Hove. A fantastic afternoon of rugby was had by all involved. We won our first match 15-0 against hosts Lancing Prep Hove and came a close second in our match against Cottesmore missing out 3 tries to 2.
