We are so proud of Old Shorehamer Elliot Hasler, Grenville 2011-2016, whose first award-winning, professional feature debut film Vindication Swim is released on 8th March as part of International Women’s Day. The up-and-coming, promising young director wrote and directed the film about the inspirational story of Mercedes Gleitze, the first British woman to swim the English Channel, and her battle against both the cold waters of the Channel and the oppressive society of 1920s England.
It was filmed locally including some scenes at Shoreham College with a few members of staff as extras.
A special pre-showing of the film, including a Q&A session, will be at The Dome Cinema, Worthing on 7th March at 5:30 with showings each evening from 8th to 14th March. Please visit the Dome Cinema website for more information.
Celebrating culture & diversity in Shoreham College – the pupils rose to the challenge of the Senior Project set by Mr Ogunmoye and some fantastic work was created by all senior year groups to promote world culture throughout the school.
Congratulations to the amazing U11 Football team. They played in 5 games and won all 5! Aggregate score of 15-0. Super play all round. Player of the day was Lila for her innovation, especially in attack.
Well done to the U11 netball team who played in a netball festival on Wednesday. They drew their first game and won the next two scoring nine goals during the afternoon. Fantastic teamwork and support for one another.
