KS2 Pottery Club had a creative session decorating their pieces from Week 1 using acrylic paint 🎨✨
They explored basic pottery techniques such as coils, twists, and slabs, and learned how to make slip and join pieces of clay together. A great mix of creativity and hands-on learning! 🏺👏
Year 1 put their problem-solving skills to the test by building houses using different types of bricks! 🧱✨
They experimented with Lego, coloured blocks, and synthetic bricks to create strong walls that wouldn’t fall down — and had lots of fun along the way! 😄
Year 8 Rugby Season Opener.
Our Year 8 rugby team took to the pitch yesterday against a formidable Lewes Old Grammar side.
The match was a true testament to the squad’s teamwork and determination. Facing a Lewes side bolstered by some highly experienced players, our Shoreham team's defense stood firm, absorbing pressure and turning it into opportunities where possible.
Highlights of the Game:
Solid Defense: The team worked as a cohesive unit to shut down gaps and halt powerful runs.
Clinical Attack: We saw some fantastic examples of well-practiced attacking play, showing that the hard work in training is already paying off.
Team Spirit: From start to finish, the players supported one another, keeping morale high against tough opposition.
It was a brilliant, hard-fought match from both sides—rugby at its best. Player of the match went to Ted H for his positive attitude and work rate throughout the match.
Year 6 had their first session in the senior library today in readiness for moving up into Year 7. They were very excited to find out what books were available and can't wait for the next session.

A huge well done to the entire squad for their teamwork and spirit in the wet weather. The season is officially underway.
In KS1 Art club we learnt to make snowflakes out of a square of paper. 2 children took Mrs Harrison’s. challenge of making the more difficult version, with fantastic results.
