It was great to have former pupil and current Brighton and Hove Albion Women's player Olivia Carpenter in College earlier this week to sign her shirt for our new wall of fame.
We have several former pupils who have gone on to become professional athletes. Our new honour wall features players team shirts and sporting memorabilia to mark their fantastic achievements.
Congratulations to year 7 pupil Christopher who won the summer series of orienteering recently, for his course and age group. This is a fantastic achievement.
Year 6 enjoyed their science lesson on light. Not only were they able to continue their lesson in the senior school science lab, but they had fun working out what colours you can make with different light filters.
Halo was the first to finish sewing her personalised napkin in Sewing Club. She learnt how to thread a needle, tie a knot, cast off, running stitch, and fold and sew a hem. What a great job Halo!
As part of the DofE expedition training Y9 pupils visited Devil's Dyke and completed a 7km walk to Edburton Hill and back. It was a great opportunity to enjoy the local countryside, particularly as we were very lucky with the weather.
Year 6 recently enjoyed a trip to Bramber Castle as part of their topic on Castles. After a wet morning, the weather cleared enough in the afternoon for a great trip. Pupils answered questions on the history of the Motte and Bailey Castle and took photos to show why it was a good site for the Normans to establish a castle in the 11th century. The day finished with a great game of tag on top of the motte.
