Year 8 pupils enjoyed an exciting trip to Portsmouth Historic Dockyard, exploring Britain’s rich maritime history and the role of the Royal Navy.
Highlights included visits to the Mary Rose, HMS Victory, and HMS Warrior, where students were amazed by the ships and their stories. They also had the chance to meet members of the Royal Navy and learn about life at sea today.
A fantastic day of learning, curiosity, and inspiration! #portsmouthhistoricdockyard
In the lovely sunshine in Wednesday afternoon the U11’s took to the hockey field. It is great to see a hockey fixture back in the diary and a new experience for the players. The team remembered their skills from their lessons and demonstrated dribbling, passing, shooting and tackling in a closely contested match against Sompting Abbotts. A thoroughly enjoyable afternoon for all. Player of the match goes to Monty M for his innovation when dribbling with the ball to keep possession.
Our young adventurers had a fantastic time in Forest School this week, developing both practical skills and teamwork in the great outdoors!
The children learned how to tie a timber hitch knot, showing great determination and resilience as they practised this tricky skill. They then put their knowledge into action by attaching ropes and working collaboratively to build and secure their very own shelters.
It was wonderful to see such creativity, problem-solving, and perseverance on display – as well as lots of smiles and muddy hands!
Well done, Year 1 and 2 – future survival experts in the making! 🏕️🌳
We’ve had some very exciting arrivals in Reception and Little Lions… our ducklings have hatched! 🐣💛
Please meet Timmy, Meep, Beans and Pickles, who are all doing wonderfully and are very happy settling into their new surroundings.
The children have absolutely loved being part of this special experience. They have all had the opportunity to gently hold the ducklings and have been fascinated watching them swim and explore. It has sparked so much curiosity, care and excitement across the classrooms.
A truly magical moment for our children to witness and be part of! 🦆✨
In KS1 Art, our pupils created beautiful paper flower posies especially for Mother’s Day. 💐
A lovely way to celebrate the special people in our lives while exploring creativity in the classroom!
