Nancy in Year 5 excitably announced the end of half-term by sounding the bell, ably assisted by Mrs Bakhtiari!
Nancy won the silent auction at the Christmas Fayre and has patiently waited for her chance to send everyone home for a week!
Enjoy your break everyone, you deserve it.
Miss Pang has been really impressed with the creativity Year 8 has shown on their Islam projects. They have been researching, planning carefully, and creating pieces of work on the Five Pillars of Islam; applying their learning from lessons to their prep projects. We had pupils who baked, made 3D models with cardboard and 3D printers, 3D posters, and clay work. These projects get better and better each year! Well done to all of Year 8.
Key Stage 1 pupils have been inspired by Kandinsky to create their own Tree of Life pictures. They used techniques and materials like wax resist, watercolours, and poster paints. They are very good, aren’t they?
Our year 10 and year 11 pupils were treated to an unseasonal performance of 'A Christmas Carol' by Quantum Theatre company. Notably shown to our GCSE English Literature pupils on Dickens' birthday, we were very fortunate to have the original text transformed into a play by three marvellous actors.
This performance will help year 11 pupils with their exam revision and give year 10 pupils an insight into 'A Christmas Carol' before they study it in September.
