This week in Forest School KS1 pupils used their knot-tying skills to make a timber hitch around a log and create a 'log dog'. We were very impressed with their skills.
Last week our Year 11s attended Poetry Live at the Brighton Dome.
They heard from several poets discussing and performing their work, including the former Poet Laureate, Carol Ann Duffy, and the current Poet Laureate, Simon Armitage. Reflecting on how the poets constructed their poems will help the Year 11s gain a greater understanding and help aid revision ahead of the Literature GCSE exams in the Summer.
Year 2 has enjoyed being creative and learned the techniques to make clay coil pots, which will be painted in white and blue patterns inspired by the Willow pattern. The pots were inspired when learning about tea production in China and the importance of the Chinese tea ceremony.
