Our Year 11 GCSE PE pupils were excited to start their 6-week rock climbing course with High Sports Brighton last Friday. The course will enable them to climb, tie in, and belay one another, opening the door to yet another sport for the College. #highsportsbrighton
The U15B netball team had a close game against Lancing College last week. The final score was 12-9 to Shoreham after Lancing clawed back the deficit to within one goal! Congratulations to Sylvie who was player of the match for the responsibility shown in carrying out her defensive duties superbly.
A special assembly was held to celebrate KS2 pupils’ hard work. Well done to Teddie Y3, Milly Y5, Scarlett Y6, Rocco Y6 and Cassie Y4 (not pictured) for receiving a Superhero award.
Domino pizza and ice cream were the rewards for two tutor groups who had the highest ‘exceeding expectations’ points last term. 7DE and 10PO enjoyed eating the delicious treats together in celebration of their hard work.
Who will win at the end of Lent term?
Our very own Year 6 teacher Mr Batstone is now an award-winning director!
He was awarded the Gabbus Denney Award for Best Director for ‘Deathtrap’, a Wick Theatre Company play, performed at the Barn Theatre in Southwick.
The play was nominated for 9 awards including best production and received 3 awards, judged by the Arts Council.
A great achievement Mr Batstone, you are indeed an inspiration.
