Yesterday, we were thrilled to welcome Ann, Gasica, and Sele from the Zanzibar Learning 4 Life Foundation, who shared inspiring insights about life and education in Zanzibar and the transformative power of learning for young people. Gasica captivated our pupils with his personal journey of resilience, highlighting how his determination to learn English led to academic success and opened doors to new opportunities. Now, through the foundation, he is giving back to his community, empowering others to achieve their dreams and shape brighter futures.
Little Lions and Reception had a wonderful visit to Southwick Library last week! We learned about all the books we could look at in the library and how we could use a library card to borrow a book to take home. The children then had the opportunity to explore all of the books with their friends and those with cards could borrow a book of their choice, checking it out by scanning it on the machines - very exciting! We then listened to a brand new story all together. Thank you to all the lovely staff at Southwick Library for always making us feel so welcome.
