Year 7 have successfully completed their Adinkra Keyrings!
The brief was to design a keyring for Divine Chocolate as a promotional item, and our students have truly impressed with their creativity and craftsmanship. They learned about the rich significance of Adinkra symbols in Ghanaian culture and the importance of Fair Trade products.
Each pupil created their own mould and cast their keyring in pewter, taking great care to polish the edges to a beautiful high-shine finish. The packaging designs are equally amazing, giving the final product a professional touch.
A huge well done to Year 7 for all their hard work and dedication! #AdinkraKeyrings #FairTrade #CreativeMinds #DesignTechnology
Day 2 completed. Our beginners are getting more confident and progressing well & our intermediates and advanced are enjoying exploring the resort! Ready for day 3 tomorrow!
Congratulations to Lucas, Zara, and Harry, who have made it to the next round of the BBC's 500 Words, the UK's largest children's writing competition for children aged 5-11.
Tens of thousands of entries were received, but only around 5,000 were selected for the second round of judging by the Reading Agency. You should be very proud!
Pupils across Juniors and Seniors were invited to the annual 5678 Disco. We had a special guest 'DJ Lightfoot' who played a fantastic set including pupils' requests. The disco featured a fun-filled dance off and a nostalgic game of musical chairs. Henry in Y8 won the game in a very close match followed by Scarlett in 2nd place. Thank you to all the staff who made this possible. It was a lovely festive event. We are already looking forward to next year!
