Year 6 pupil Xan has been growing his hair since he read about the Little Princess Trust back in 2017 and decided he wanted to help.
The Trust, which relies solely upon the efforts of community fundraisers, makes wigs from donations of human hair for children who have lost theirs through illness.
“People often think I’m a girl because of my hair, but that does not bother me. I want to grow it as long as I can so that there is a lot of hair for them to make the wigs.”
Xan is not only donating his hair but also has a JustGiving page where his supporters have so far donated over £500. He has set a date of June 1st to cut his hair, which will then be donated along with the Just Giving funds to the Charity.
