Years 1 to 4 had a fabulous time on Tuesday when they were visited by Jim Beckett, author of the popular Buzz Sausage Wolf books. They decided whether they were more sausage or wolf, listened to Jim reading his book and even helped him with ideas for a new story.
Thanks to @jim_beckett and @brighton Waterstones for a great event.
Winning start for Year 9!
Huge congratulations to our Year 9 rugby team on a fantastic start to their West Sussex Schools League competition this afternoon. It was a high-octane, physical encounter against our neighbours, Shoreham Academy.
The sun was out, the pace was fast, and the boys put in a shift to remember. A massive well done to the whole squad for kicking off the league season in style, WINNING 40-31.
A special mention to Oscar D, our Man of the Match, who had an incredible performance on his debut. Welcome to the team, Oscar.
Before half-term our Little Lions, Reception and Year 2 children enjoyed a wonderful Chinese New Year celebration together.
The children took part in a special Chinese New Year banquet and were so brave and curious as they tried a range of new and different foods. It was lovely to see everyone talking about flavours, textures and their favourites! After the banquet, the children joined together for a dragon dance parade around the school, proudly carrying the dragon and singing their dragon dance song as they went. Throughout the afternoon, the children also enjoyed a range of Chinese New Year themed arts and crafts activities, exploring colours, patterns and traditional symbols.
