Our Year 6 pupils had a fantastic time at PizzaExpress Brighton, where they made their own pizzas - kneading, shaping, topping, and watching them bake in just 4 minutes in the special ovens before enjoying them while still hot!
They also took part in a fun quiz about ingredients (did you know about the Donkey Olive? 🫒). Rossi said, “This is the best pizza ever!” while others asked the chefs creative questions about new pizza ideas.
Everyone took their pizzas home to enjoy or share.
A big thank you to #pizzaexpressbrighton for a brilliant experience!
VICTORY FOR THE U14 CRICKET TEAM
Huge congratulations to our Under 14 Boys Cricket Team for a brilliant start to the season. The boys secured a fantastic win in their first game away against Lancing College.
It was a true team performance from start to finish:
The Batting: After being put in to bat, Shoreham built a solid, steady innings. Ata and Leo finished things off in style, finding the ropes with some superb boundary hitting to set a competitive total.
The Fielding: The momentum carried into the second half! Our bowlers stayed disciplined with excellent lines, while the fielding unit worked tirelessly to keep the run rate tight and pressure high.
A clinical performance and a well-deserved result. Let's keep this energy going for the rest of the season.
To celebrate the end of term, our Year 11s took our Little Lions, Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 on a fantastic Easter Egg Hunt around the school! 🐰🍫
The children worked together to find and solve clues hidden around the College - and it’s safe to say there were smiles all around. We’re still not sure who had more fun… the little ones or the Year 11s! 😄
A big congratulations to our Easter Egg Hunt winners, Taqwa and Eva in Year 1! 🎉👏
Year 10 pupils, parents, and governors were truly moved and inspired by yesterday’s powerful talk from published author, recording artist, and Holocaust survivor Dorit Oliver-Wolff (BEM).
Her remarkable story of resilience, courage, and hope left a lasting impression on everyone in attendance. We are incredibly grateful for the opportunity to hear her experiences first-hand and reflect on the important lessons they carry for future generations. Dorit Oliver Wolff
Year 4 enjoyed their first Forest session with Mr Harris and Mrs Harrison. They learned to identify a range of trees and plants, while also understanding how to stay safe in the forest and around the fire pit.
Mr Harris demonstrated how to safely light a fire, which was a real highlight for the class. The session finished with some free time, where pupils explored the forest and took part in games, making the most of the outdoor environment.
Year 6 kicked off the term with a real wow moment! A trip down to Kingston Beach set the scene for their exciting new topic, ‘Our Amazing World’, where they also enjoyed the opening of this term’s class book.
The creativity continued with drama freeze-frame activities, bringing their learning to life in a fun and imaginative way.
A fantastic start to the Summer Term for Year 6 at Shoreham College!
