Year 5 have been on an exciting journey exploring Africa!
Throughout their learning, pupils discovered more about the continent’s rich culture and traditions, including its vibrant music and striking patterns. Inspired by authentic African designs, they created their own beautiful pattern work and explored traditional musical instruments.
To bring their learning to life, pupils even made their own kalimbas and mini African drums! 🥁 What a fantastic hands-on experience and a wonderful way to celebrate their creativity and curiosity.
Year 4 had a fantastic time celebrating all things Greek on Friday! 🇬🇷 They got creative designing their own Greek plates and even had the chance to taste some delicious Greek food.

A bright and sunny start to the week for Key Stage 3.
It was wonderful to gather this morning for our church assembly and hymn practice. The sound of our pupils singing was the perfect way to kick off Monday.
We also couldn't help but notice the bluebells are now in full bloom across the grounds, spring has truly arrived.

Year 6 recently took part in an exciting outdoor debate exploring the merits and challenges of sailing around the world!
Inspired by their class text Kensuke’s Kingdom, pupils worked thoughtfully in teams to prepare arguments both for and against Michael and his family’s decision to set off on their voyage. They showed fantastic speaking and listening skills, shared their ideas confidently, and respectfully challenged each other’s viewpoints.
It was wonderful to see such enthusiasm for learning — and even better that they could enjoy debating their ideas together in the fresh air! Well done, Year 6 👏
As part of National Science Week, our Year 7 and Year 8 pupils took on an exciting challenge during their Design & Technology lessons, exploring a science topic they were curious about.
They designed and created their own exhibition stands to present their findings, proudly showcasing their work to Year 9 pupils. The standard was incredibly high, with some truly imaginative, thoughtful, and creative displays on show.
A huge well done to all of our Year 7 and Year 8 pupils for their enthusiasm, effort, and fantastic work — you should be very proud!
Just before the Easter break, Year 6 explored a range of Chinese inventions in their DT lessons, including paper, water clocks and kites.
They then designed and made their own animal-themed kites and had great fun testing them outside - see the photos of their fantastic creations in action! Well done, Year 6!
