π A very festive Christmas wreath-making session was enjoyed by 16 of our pupils earlier this week.
Christmas cheer, seasonal tunes, and the expertise and direction of Miss Awbery inspired some beautifully festive wreaths to be made by everyone who attended. πππ
Outstanding performances from our swimmers at the National Swimming Gala!
Independent School's Association National Swimming Gala.
London Aquatic Centre, Olympic Park
Last Friday, seven of our talented swimmers from Years 4 to 11 proudly represented our school at the Independent Schoolβs Association (ISA) National Swimming Gala. Having earned their places by excelling at the regional gala earlier this term, they competed at the iconic London 2012 Olympic pool, an inspiring venue that set the stage for a truly memorable day.
Our swimmers displayed outstanding performances in both individual and team relay events and their dedication and skill were among the finest ISA swimmers in the country. A standout day came from Harry in Year 6, who achieved remarkable success by securing bronze medals in the 50m freestyle and 50m butterfly events. Both races were thrillingly close, with less than a second separating first and third places - a testament to the incredibly high standard of competition.
Adding to the excitement, Olympian and British record-holder Tom Haffield presented Harry's medals, making the occasion even more special.
Congratulations to Harry and all our swimmers who took part, Darcey, Lily, Scarlett, Alex, Alice and Etien. Competing at this prestigious level was an incredible achievement, and their hard work and determination made the entire school proud. Well done to all!
The U15 netball teams enjoyed a sunny afternoon at Great Ballard. Both games were tightly contested with the C team losing by one goal. The B team settled into the game and took the win in the last two quarters. Well done to all.
